Are the the ladies actual nerds?
This is something we get asked a lot and YES, all the ladies here at Keeping It Nerdy are nerds. Each one has something that they nerd out over, generating a wide circle of interests. August loves science, anime, video games, and comic books. Courtney Elle loves all thing horror. Miss Mina is our resident book nerd and has a variety of interests from computer gaming and onward. Vesper loves video games, movies, and all of course all things retro (from black and white movies to the N64.) Lady Alexandra has an adventurous soul, performs theatre, and loves movies and television. Jeevi nerds out over all things sci-fi and is a huge "Game of Thrones" fan. Pixie Quinn loves comic books and video games, as well as, Disney.
Do the ladies their own costumes?
There's so much that goes into making a costume. Yes, the ladies put together the costumes themselves. They also like to support costumers/artists (such as Damsel in this Dress and Astera Leather) and make/borrow things for/from one another. At Keeping It Nerdy, cosplay isn't about how good it is or who made it, it's about having fun!
Are the ladies just models?
No, they are so much more! Most the girls have received higher education (Miss Mina has her PhD and Vesper her Master.) They love modeling and cosplaying in their spare time, espically when it's for a good cause. KIN has worked with C.A.P.E.S. in the past to help raise money for St. Jude's.
Some of the girls are actresses, writers, scientists, and scholars. There is more than meets the eyes with these lovely ladies.
